Conference Guidelines

Debate Procedures

1. Delegates should be prepared with knowledge of their country’s stance, the committee’s topics, and the general global context.  

2. Delegates should have a complete resolution on one chosen topic before the conference to be active in the lobbying process.  

3. Delegates should engage in discussions and collaborate with other delegates with respect.  

4. Delegates should adhere to the instructions of STOFF and SISMUN procedures.  

5. Delegates should arrive on time for all sessions of debate.  

6. Delegates should show respect to conference admin, press, directors, student officers, directors, staff, and fellow delegates. Always address them politely and adhere to given instructions.  

7. Delegates should be responsible and respectful. Any inappropriate or offensive remarks and behavior will not be tolerated in SISMUN.  

8. Delegates should respect the provided facilities and venues and dispose of waste properly.

Resolution Formatting

Technology Usage

1. Delegates should use their devices strictly for MUN-related tasks such as research, drafting speeches and amendments, and communicating with fellow delegates and STOFF through MUN Command.  

2. Delegates are prohibited from using social media, video games, or personal apps during the debate.  

3. Delegates should produce their original work when writing resolutions, speeches, and amendments. Any abuse of AI or plagiarism is strictly prohibited.  

 

Any violations of the aforementioned technology guidelines will be addressed through a strike system.
